Get ready for an international food festival in Nashville next month.

The Tennessee Immigrant and Minority Business Group plans to host "Tastes From Around the World" on May 23.

Foods from Italy, Mexico, China and Ethiopia, among others, are expected to be on the menu that day.

“America is a different nation today, with an ever increasing diversity of ethnicities, cultures and religions. Diversity represents a strength for America, not a weakness. Our country is a country of immigrants,” said Dr. Ming Wang, president of the TIMBG and the Tennessee Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

The annual event is scheduled to include a motivational speech from former Nashville Predators player Stu Grimson and a performance by Wang on the Chinese violin, accompanied by Carlos Enrique on classical guitar.
